This has such good flavor. We made a few changes as follows: sometimes use dried zest and add it to liquid, seems to work OK; let the raisins and dates (after cutting) sit out for several hours or a day so they don't clump when mixed into other ingredients; baking in 3 batches instead of 2 allows it to become more crunchy.
Pros: Flavorful and aromatic
Cons: Dried fruit clumps when mixed with other ingredients but there is a remedy
