Advertisers can take advantage of the following event opportunities as part of a partnership with EatingWell:
Food for Thought Festival
EatingWell is pleased to return as a premier sponsor of the 10th annual Food for Thought Festival. Scheduled for September 19-20, 2008 in Madison, Wisconsin, this informative and lively event explores and celebrates the joys of eating more healthfully and sustainably. Attracting more than 3,500 attendees, Food for Thought features cooking demonstrations, live music and guest lecturers. Taking place adjacent to the popular Dane County Farmers' Market — one of the top 10 farmers' markets in the country as ranked by EatingWell in the August 2007 issue — this year's Food for Thought Festival features keynote speaker Michael Ableman, founder of the Center for Urban Agriculture at Fairview Gardens. Ableman is also author/photographer of From the Good Earth, On Good Land and Fields of Plenty: A Farmer's Journey in Search of Real Food and the People Who Grow It. He is also the subject of the award-winning PBS program Beyond Organic.
Select EatingWell advertisers can sample product, distribute promotional material and offer cooking demonstrations from EatingWell's prominent exhibit area inside the festival. EatingWell provides all staffing. Participating advertisers’ logos will be featured prominently on signage displayed around high-traffic areas.
Divabetic
A cause with pizzazz, Divabetic is a diabetes outreach organization designed to promote above all, a positive attitude and help build esteem among people living with diabetes. Their theme and identity is based on motivation, as well as encouraging early detection and prevention. Each Divabetic event receives between 750-1,000 health-conscious women who are taking significant steps to improve their health. It’s the perfect marketing venue for EatingWell advertisers. A percentage of the sales of all Divabetic fundraising events support the work of various diabetes-related charities, including The Diabetes Center of New Jersey, The Stroke of Hope Foundation and The Charles Ray III Diabetes Association. Divabetic has recently announced five new events for 2008, which include the following:
- Los Angeles: Saturday, June 28
- Washington, DC: Saturday, September 27
- Cleveland: Saturday, October 11
- Miami: Saturday, November 1
- New Orleans: Saturday, November 8
Advertisers can leverage EatingWell’s partnership with Divabetic through several high-visibility opportunities at each event. They include but are not limited to:
- Non-alcoholic pouring/sampling opportunities at the complimentary main bar
- Inclusion of promotional materials in attendee gift bags
