Awards Who’s Who (in their own words)Folio: magazine International Association of Culinary Professionals (IACP) The Bert Greene Awards, presented annually to recognize excellence in food journalism, were created to honor the memory of the late Bert Greene, nationally acclaimed cooking teacher, cookbook author, and syndicated food columnist. A committee of twelve culinary professionals, including food writers, newspaper and magazine food editors and publishers, evaluate all entries against a detailed list of criteria that includes style, originality, organization, focus, clarity, depth of research and choice of subject. The judging process is completed in two stages and conducted in complete confidentiality. The IACP Cookbook Awards annually celebrate the year’s most outstanding food and beverage publications. The awards program was created to encourage and promote quality and creativity in cookbook writing and publishing and to expand awareness of culinary literature.
